March 28-April 1

Mon., March 28
Monday in the Octave of Easter

Acts 2:14, 22-33; Matthew 28:8-15

Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”  – Mt 28:10

The Easter message must be shared. With whom and in what way will I share the message today?

Lord, I know I am called to spread the good news of Easter. Grant me the courage to announce the good news at all times regardless of the possible consequences. Never let me fade from this call.

Tues., March 29
Tuesday in the Octave of Easter

Acts 2:36-41; John 20:11-18

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,”
which means Teacher. – John 20:16

Mary did not know it was Jesus until he called her name. Is Jesus calling my name today – do I know him?

Lord, I hear you calling me. Help me to understand what you are calling me to and grant me the strength and courage to respond to your call every time.

Wed. March 30
Wednesday in the Octave of Easter

Acts 3:1-10; Luke 24:13-35

And it happened that while they were conversing and debating, Jesus himself drew near and walked with them, but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him. – Luke 24:15-16

Jesus is always present with us. Where shall I look today to discover his presence?

Lord, I know you are constantly there. Many times I fail to see you all around me. Help me to see your presence in my life and especially in those strangers who you send into my life.

Thurs., March 31
Thursday in the Octave of Easter

Acts 3:11-26; Luke 24:35-48

The disciples of Jesus recounted what had taken place along the way, and how they had come to recognize him in the breaking of bread. – Luke 24:35

Do I recognize Jesus in the breaking of the bread?

Lord, I know you are present in the Eucharist, but sometimes I fail to recognize your presence and to act accordingly. Help me to better see your presence and to show my belief to others. Never allow me to take your presence in the Eucharist for granted.

Fri., April 1
Friday in the Octave of Easter

Acts 4:1-12; John 21:1-14

So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” – John 21:7

Jesus slowly revealed himself to his disciples. How has he revealed himself to me in my life?

Lord, I know you are present. I see you every day. Help me to understand how you reveal yourself every day. Help me to recognize you and to respond to your requests. Never allow me to fail to sense your presence and to know your peace.
