I am still struggling with my loss. It is just too big and won’t go away in a month or two. I am looking forward to the support group. It is still a month away. But it certainly helps being with family. And I spend time at church and I go to the cemetery. Every little thing helps.
I spent the 4th of July with one of my sons. It was a nice day, being with him and his family. My grandchildren were a delight as always. My granddaughter colored a beautiful picture for me to take home. So many beautiful colors. It cheered me up. It went on the refrigerator as usual.
Grandchildren are a special gift from God. They don’t judge you in any way. There is no history with them. Just the history we are making. I am just Grammy. And I do not have to be anyone else.
Lord, thank you for the gift of grandchildren.
