Signs of God

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to him, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.” Matthew 12:38
Since I like to write about my faith and where I see God in my life, I have to pay attention. I have to look for signs of God’s presence. I have to admit, some days are better than others. On those days, I am more alert, more aware.
On other days, I seem to just sleepwalk through my day. I am too preoccupied with myself and my worries or my things-to-do list. Or maybe just plain lazy.
That is why I like to write these reflections on scripture and God’s presence in my life. In order to do that, I am reminded to pay attention. I am reminded to read the scripture of the day. I am reminded to pray. I am reminded to stop and take the time to reflect on the readings.
Writing these reflections is good for my prayer life. I highly recommend it.
