My Support group did not go as well as before. I won’t get into specifics (confidentiality), but I was definitely disappointed. Will look for a new one if next week is not good.
Support groups are for – surprise – support. The members need to support each other. Whether it is grief or some other kind of support group. And leaders need to lead.
Go figure.
The key word is Support. It isn’t about counseling. It isn’t about monopolizing the whole time so others cannot talk. It is about supporting each other through whatever we are going through so we know we are not alone.
Last week I felt alone.
