Ash Wednesday.
Did it seem to come faster this year?
I do not feel prepared. I have not contemplated my plan for this Lenten season yet. Maybe there should be no plan. Maybe I should just wing it.
I do not even have a book ready to read yet. I need to get started. I need to figure out what my prayer resources will be. I need to figure out what my fasting and almsgiving will be.
Or maybe not. Maybe I do not need to figure out anything. Maybe I just need to take each day as it comes.
Oh boy. It is going to be an interesting Lent this year. Sometimes I just do not have my act together. And that is OK.
What do you have in store for me now, Lord?
