2 Kings 5:1-15ab; Luke 4:24-30

“Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place.”

Am I accepting of others in my community? How can I be more accepting?

Lord, I can be so self-centered. Help me to be more accepting to all those around me. Show me the ones who I most ignore and grant me the strength to change that situation. Never again allow me to be unaccepting of any member of my community – they are all you.

Tuesday, March 1

Daniel 3:25, 34-43; Matthew 18:21-35

Jesus tells us that our forgiveness must never be limited. Is there someone I need to forgive?

Lord, I know that I say I forgive some offenses, but I place limits on that forgiveness. Help me to see where I have placed these limits and grant me the courage to remove them. Always remind me to forgive if I wish to be forgiven.

Wednesday, March 2

Deuteronomy 4:1, 5-9; Matthew 5:17-19

What are some of the ways we use to remember what God has done for us?

Lord, you are always working in my life. Help me to better see where you are working in my life and grant me the courage to share your great works with others. Never allow me to hesitate to share how you are active in my life with others.

Thursday, March 3

Jeremiah 7:23-28; Luke 11:14-23

“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” Luke 11:23

Where in my life am I called to bring unity and peace?

Lord, I am always undecided when it comes to responding to you. There are so many world distractions that I get caught up in. Help me to let those distractions go and concentrate only on you. I wish only to serve you and you alone.

Friday, March 4

Hosea 14:2-10; Mark 12:28-34

Jesus told us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Do I always love my neighbor?

Lord, I sometimes struggle with this. Help me to see you in all others so that I may love them as you have commanded. Help me to stop judging others and to just be accepting of all as you are.
