You have been told, O mortal, what is good, and what the LORD requires of you:
Only to do justice and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God. – Micah 6:8
What does it mean to love goodness and walk humbly with God? How can I do this?
Lord, I know this is the way you wish me to live. I try to follow your way. Sometimes I have trouble living up to your expectations. Help me to see where I most need help and grant me the wisdom to accept your help in these areas.

But some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit, a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold. – Mt 13:8

Jesus tells us that some people have ears but do not hear his message. Do I always hear what Jesus is telling me?
Lord, there are so many distractions. I know you speak to me but frequently I am distracted and do not hear you. Help me to pay more attention to your voice speaking to me and also open my eyes that I may see you better.

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher. – John 20:16
Do I recognize Jesus’ voice when he talks to me?
Lord, I know you always tell me what I need to do to be a better follower. There are times that I am so occupied with worldly things that I do not hear your voice. Help me to be better attuned to your call. Help me to know your voice when you speak my name.
