Jesus Loving Us Through a Storm

Then he asked them, “Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?”

The disciples were terrified. There was a major storm and they were afraid they would drown. They woke up Jesus, who had been sleeping in the boat and asked him if he cared that they might perish.

They just did not get it. They did not understand who Jesus was. They did not yet trust in him.

Yes, there are times in our lives when we do not hear Jesus’ voice. We pray and we plead and he seems to be asleep.

We become afraid. We do not trust.

At times like this, we need to pray for deeper faith. And if we pay attention, we will certainly find him. Steering our boat in rough waters. And carrying us through the tough times.

And loving us more than we know.
