Come, Holy Spirit

But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. – Jn 16:7

I can understand the apostles not wanting to see Jesus go. They really do not understand why He has to leave.

I can imagine them thinking, “What now? What are we supposed to do now?”

Jesus tells them that He will send them an Advocate. And they will not be alone.

Did they believe Him?

Do we believe Him? Do we believe that we are never alone?

Have you ever had one of those moments when you experienced the presence of God? When you experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit?

Have you ever attended a charismatic group? It was when I started going to our charismatic prayer group meetings that I really began to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. I became more aware of His presence in my life.

Jesus, help us to be more aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives. Thank you. Amen.
