Jesus Knows Our Hearts

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.” – Matthew 2:21

Many like to give lip service to being a follower of Christ. Many like looking good, too. The question we need to ask ourselves is – are we the ones who give lip service? Are we the ones who say what we think we are supposed to say, but not really mean it?

We are not perfect beings. Jesus knows this. We will falter at times, but we need not worry.

Jesus knows our hearts. He knows our truth.

Do we?

Jesus, help us to do the will of your Father in heaven. Help us to be a true follower and to do more than just talk about it. We love you with all of our hearts. Help us show it. Amen.
