A Forever Love

Jesus said: “Come to me, all who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Mt 11:28

This has long been one of my favorite scripture verses. No doubt. No need to think about it.
As a child, I often went to church alone to find rest and love and peace. Church was a safe place for me. A place where I learned someone named Jesus loved me and would always love me. A forever kind of love.
I was blessed to experience another forever kind of love with my husband. And I find that church is again a healing place for me to be. A place to let go of my burdens and find rest.
My wedding anniversary is this week. 44 years it would have been. I plan on going to the cemetery to visit my husband. And I plan on visiting Jesus too. I will unload my burdens on Him. And find rest.
