People were “astonished” by Jesus. When has Jesus surprised me?
Lord, help me to find those places in my life where you surprise me. Never let me take you and your life, and teachings, for granted.
Wednesday, January 13

Jesus had gone to a deserted place and the he heard the call, “Everyone is looking for you.”
Do you pray before going to minister to others?
Lord, help me to balance my prayer life and my ministry. Help me to hear your voice.
Thursday, January 14
1 Sm 4:1-11; Mark 1:40-45
“Moved with pity,” Jesus healed the leper. “Be made clean.”
Lord, I have so many faults and failings. Help me to see those areas in my life that are in most need of your cleansing. Grant me the knowledge of where I need your help and the courage to step forward and accept your help.
Friday, January 15
1 Sm 8:4-7, 10-22A; Mark 2:1-12
Who in my life has “carried” me to Jesus? Who now needs my help to go to Jesus to seek physical or spiritual healing?
Lord, help me to recognize those around me who I could help to come closer to you.
