 2 Pt 1:2-7; Mk 12:1-12

Have you not read this scripture passage: ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes’?” – Mk 12:10-11

How can I share my riches with others who are in need?

Lord, I have been so blessed in my life. Help me to share those blessings with those in need. Grant me the courage to step forward in charity to anyone who is in need. Grant me the strength to never hold back on my generosity.

Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Zep 3:14-18A or Romans 12:9-16 ; Lk 1:39-56

Blessed are you who believed – that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled. – Lk 1:45

What do I need God to do for me today to help me grow closer to him?

Lord, help me to sort through all the needs in my life and to find those that will help me to grow closer to you. Grant me the strength to place those needs at the foot of your cross with the total confidence that you will meet those needs.

St. Justin, martyr

2 Tm 1:1-3, 6-12; Mark 12:18-27

“He is not God of the dead but of the living.” – Mk 12:27

How am I living a more joyful life because of God’s presence in my life?

Lord, your presence has brought great joy and fullness to my life. Help me to understand how your presence affects my life on a daily basis. Never let me forget that it is through your presence that I have great joy.

2 Tm 2:8-15; Mark 12:28-34

“And ‘to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself’ is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” – Mk 12:33

Jesus tells us to love both God and others. Do I truly love all my neighbors?

Lord, it is easy to love you, for you have blessed me so. However it is, sometimes, not easy to love my neighbor. Grant me the strength to overlook the faults of others and the hurts of others but to love as you love me. Help me to see your presence in others.

The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

 Ezekiel 34:11-16; Romans 5:5b-11; Luke 15:3-7

“and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’” – Lk 15:6

Jesus demonstrated his great love for even the least among us. How can I love as Jesus loves?

Lord, you showed great love for even the least among us. Help me to observe such love for others. Help me to understand where I withhold my love and why I do so. Help me to correct this situation and to love all as you do.
