Tobit 3:1-11a, 16-17a; Mark 12:18-27

“He is not God of the dead but of the living.” – Mk 12:27

How do I experience God’s precence in my everyday life?

Lord, your presence has brought great joy and fullness to my life. Help me to understand how your presence effects my life on a daily basis. Never let me forget that it is through your presence that I have great joy.

Tobit 6:10-11; 7:1bcde, 9-17; 8:4-9a; Mark 12:28-34

“And ‘to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself’ is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” – Mk 12:33

Jesus tells us to love both God and others. Do I always follow this golden rule?

Lord, loving you is not a problem, but sometimes it is very hard to love my neighbor. Sometimes my neighbor hurts me, is mean to me, and degrades me. Help me to overlook these faults and to respond in love to my neighbor.

Fri., June 5, 2017

Tobit 11:5-17; Mark 12:35-37

What, in my life, do I want to rejoice and praise God for?

Lord, there is so very much that you have given me. Help me to discern those things that I am most grateful for and wish to praise you greatly for. Grant me a grateful heart to always remember to thank and praise you.
