Jesus in Our Midst

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. – Matthew 18:20

This verse is a well-known verse. I wonder if we are aware of it when meeting with others. Do we know that Jesus is with us when gathered in His name?

There is Mass, of course. And church meetings, bible studies, group retreats, spiritual direction. 

And then what about the secular world? Family Night was a hit at our house with our sons. They loved to choose the menu for dinner and the board game for after dinner. And we started with a prayer activity. We prayed and then we played.

Whenever we pray, at church or home or our workplace, we remember that Jesus is in our midst. 

Jesus, help us to remember you are with us always. Help us to pray and be aware of you in all aspects of our lives. Amen.
