Talk to Jesus First

Today’s Gospel: Luke 6:12-19

Many times throughout the gospels, we read about Jesus taking some time away from the crowds to pray. Today’s gospel tells us how Jesus went to be alone and to pray and then chose the Twelve apostles.

So I would have to think that if Jesus needs some alone time to pray and get help and answers from God, then we do, too.

There is no way I can write these reflections if I do not pray about them first.

There is no way I can do spiritual direction without talking to Jesus first.

There is no way I can make major decisions without talking to Jesus first.

Talk and then listen.

Listen to Jesus.

Dear Lord, help me to remember that I am not the Master of the Universe. Help me to remember that I need to turn to you first to get answers and help. Amen.

  1. I like to give what ever I am having difficulty with to Jesus and leave it in His Hands, When I am successful at doing that it brings me much Peace.
