Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.” And none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they realized it was the Lord. – John 21:12
The more time we spend with Jesus, the more we recognize Him in our everyday life. Like any relationship we have, we can only know Jesus if we spend time with Jesus, and listen to Him.
On the surface, today’s circumstances would seem to make this really difficult. Our lives are spent in quarantine. Self-isolation. We miss going to Mass and to adoration.
However, this need not stop us from praying the Liturgy of the Hours at home. Watching Mass on our computers or TV. Spending silent time with Jesus everyday.
And of course, we experience Jesus in our loved ones and in the stories of people meeting the challenges of this scary time.
Jesus invites us to spend time with Him.
Jesus tells us, “Come.”
Jesus, thank you for your love and helping us through all the difficult times of our lives. Amen.
