Do We Believe?

Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me?r Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” – John 20:29

Faith.

Faith is a gift. A gift from God. We do not earn it. We receive it whether or not we deserve it.

We may not have seen the risen Christ, but do we have to see Him to believe?

We can see Him in the love we receive from others and in the Church and the Eucharist and in each other.

If we pay attention.

Do we have to see the wound in his side in order to believe? What about those times we doubt Jesus’ presence or His love for us? Are we like Thomas then?

We pray for faith and our eyes are opened and we see Him.

And we believe.

And we are blessed.
