Knowing God

f you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him. – John 14:7

God the Father always seems so far away. Not just in a literal sense but in a “knowing” sense. We cannot picture the Father in our heads so we picture Jesus instead.

Jesus tells us this – Know me, then you know my Father.

It is not just a “head” knowledge. It is a “heart” knowledge.

It is not just about knowing God. It is about loving God.

Jesus, thank you for teaching us and revealing God’s love for us. Amen.
