Wheat and Weeds

“Let them grow together until harvest…”  – Matthew 13:30

Jesus tells us that the kingdom includes both good and evil. We are both wheat and weeds.

We go to church, not because we are perfect, but because we know we are not perfect and we need God in our lives. We know that we need to experience the love and mercy of God through the sacraments and through communion with others who struggle as we do.

We go to Mass so we can thank God for his merciful love. And pray that He will, someday, make us perfect, and bring us home.
