Prophet without Honor

And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house.” (Mt 13:57)

For years I wrote reflections and gave retreats. I had a loyal following, but most members of my family did not read these or attend my retreats or talks.

A prophet is defined as “a proclaimer of God’s will.” I do not think of myself as a prophet, but maybe I am.

Are you?

Jesus, help me to evangelize and to proclaim the words You give me to all who wish to listen. Help me to not be afraid of what others may think.
