Trust in Jesus

At that time Jesus said in reply, “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.” (Mt 11:25)

Pharisees rejected Jesus. They closed their hearts to Him. Pride shut them off from Jesus.

They were intelligent. They were considered wise. But were they open to Jesus? Were they open to faith?

Children are often more open than adults. They are more open to accepting things that are new.

Children trust more. And believe in the impossible.

Let us ask Jesus for childlike trust and faith.

Lord, thank you for the gift of faith. Help us to remain trusting and childlike and open to your love and healing. Amen.
